Pasta mit Fleischbällchen (Pasta with Meat balls)

Zutaten/ Ingredients:

500gr Rindhackfleisch/ 500gr Beef minced meat
150gr Nudeln/ 150gr Noodles
100gr Tomaten/ 100gr Tomatoes
1 Dose Tomatenpüree/ 1 can Mash Tomatoes
2 Zwiebeln/ 2 Onions
2 Knoblauchzehen/ 2 cloves of garlic
1 TL Senf/ 1 tsp Mustard
Frische Thymian/ Fresh thyme
2 EL Paprikapulver/ 2 spoons Red Pepper powder
Salz, Pfeffer und Zucker/ Salt, Pepper and Sugar

Cut the onion into cubes and chop the garlic. Take the half part of the onion and the garlic, brown them in a pan. Prepare the meatballs by adding salt, pepper, pepper powder and mustard to the ground meat. Mixing it with the browned onion and garlic. Mix them all well and shape the minced meat into small ball.

Heat the oil in the pan and sharply roast the meatballs. If they're finished, take them out of the pan and set aside. Brown the other half part of the onion and the garlic in the same pan with the rest oil from the meatballs. Add the mash tomatoes and simmer about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile cook the noodles according to the package instruction. Add the thyme and the fresh tomatoes to the sauce. Seasoning it with pepper powder, pinch of sugar, salt and pepper. Add the meatballs to the sauce.

Dry the noodles and serve it on a plate with the sauce. Garnish with basil leaves or parsley.

Koh Samui Part 2: Ang Thong National Marine Park

We didn't want just to lay on the beach, so we decided to do a one day tour to Ang Thong National Marine Park by speadboat. We booked our tour with the company InSeaSpeedboat. The tour will only be held at good weather conditions. Our tour has been cancelled once because it was too foggy and there were huge waves. Every guest has been picked up by a car at his hotel. We had to get up quite early that morning, because the tour started at 8.30am. Before the tour started, a little breakfast and some drinks have been provided. At 8.30am the tour started. There were about 30 passenger and three crew members on the boat. Before we were boarding we heard that the rear section is the best place to sit if we don't like the shaking of the speedboat during the tour. Therefore we took a seat at the rear section. It is true that you do not feel the waves that much at the rear, but you will get wet in return. We got lots of water splashes from the side of the boat as the side of the boot was open. It was really annoying, therefore I decided to hide myself under a towel, haha... The trip to the first destination took about an hour. First we went snorkeling, where we had about 45 minutes time to snorkel. Then we drove through the Ang Thong National Marine Park. It's so beautiful there! At the 2nd stop you can climb up some narrow stairs and you will have a great ocean view from the top, as you can see on the pics. There is also a lake with beautiful turquois green water. We had about 1,5 hours to discover everything there. After that we went for lunch. The food was delicious, but I think it wasn't typical Thai Food, because it was more likely Chinese Food which you can find everywhere in Southeast-Asia. After we had lunch, we went to another island. We could do what we want there, just relaxing on the beach or swimming or kayaking. We decided to go kayaking, unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of it as we were scared that our camera gets wet. Around 3pm we went back to Koh Samui. At Koh Samui our driver was already waiting at the harbor to bring us back to the hotel. It was really a wonderful adventure and I highly recommend it if you visit Koh Samui.

Koh Samui Part 1

After our stay in Kuala Lumpur we flew to Thailand. Our next destination was Koh Samui. We didn't fly straight to Koh Samui, because the direct flight was too expensive during christmas time. We flew first to Surat Thani. From there we had to take a bus to the harbor Don Sak. The trip by bus took about an hour. From the harbor we went by ferry to Koh Samui. It took about an hour and half. After we have arrived on Koh Samui, we went by a car to our hotel. We bought the car ticket in the bus. There were two groups of other people in the car, who went to their hotel as well. After one hour drive, we arrived at our hotel. We stayed at Punnpreeda Hip Resort. It located directly at the beach. You can have a beach view while you have your breakfast. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. We decided not to stay at Chaweng, because it's too crowded there. Chaweng is the most famous beach on Koh Samui, most of the people stay there. If you want to go to Chaweng, you can go by Tuk Tuk or by moped. We rent a moped, it's the best way to go everywhere.

Kuala Lumpur 2013

When my boyfriend and I fly to Asia, we stay almost everytime in Malaysia. As I already mentioned in the last post, we were in Kuala Lumpur because of the wedding from our friend. We just stayed for four days because we know almost everything there. We spent our time with meeting friends and shopping :-) It was almost christmas time, so there were christmas decorations everywhere. You can see below the pictures how the christmas athmosphere in Kuala Lumpur.
