NEW YORK TRIP - WHERE TO EAT

1. BURGERS

SHAKE & SHACK

We arrived in New York afternoon, after a long flight we needed to take a nap. I woke up early in the morning that day to go to airport and I just couldn't sleep during the flight. After we took a rest we went to Shake & Shack. This restaurant are spread out all over New York and fortunately we could find it nearby our hotel. I've heard that their Fries with cheese are so good, but we've ended up getting Cheeseburgers and normal Fries. I am absolutely a big fan of Fries and all I can say that their Fries are the best. They're so crunchy outside and smooth inside. They tasted like homemade Fries.

FIVE GUYS

The other burger restaurant that we tried was Five Guys. It was a recommendation from one of our best friend who spent almost a year in USA. We could also find this restaurant nearby the hotel. Their burgers are delicious, my husband liked it more than Shake & Shack. Their Fries are supposed to be the best Fries in US but I like the fries by Shake & Shack better.

2. MEXICAN FOOD

During our stay in New York, we tried a lot of Mexican food and I looove it so much. I love the taste, it's just refreshing and interesting. The combination of the fresh veggies, crunchy tacos and meat or fish are just wow.
If you love Mexican food as I do then you definitely have to go to CHIPOTLE MEXICAN GRILL. The concept is like a "Subway" restaurant. You have to order the meal by yourself and choose whatever you want to have in your meal. I went twice there and always ordered the bowl with lime rice, black beans, pepper & onions, salsa, medium sauce (the best!!!), chicken or safritas (tofu! yummy). Could you please order one bowl for me if you're there?! haha...

3. AMERICAN BREAKFAST

When I'm in US, all I want for breakfast is a real American breakfast. It means that pancakes are a must for me :P We went to very different restaurants this time. We went to IHOP, Denny's and Junior's. We already knew IHOP and Denny's, so it was not so special again. The first time we went to Denny's on our first trip, I was just excited because of their Hashbrown, sooo delish. So, this time I really wanted to go there and it was pretty disappointed though. Their Hashbrown was not good at all, what a shame. The next day we went to Junior's for breakfast and it was sooooo good as you can see on the picture below. Unfortunately they don't have hashbrown, so I ordered pancakes and they are so so delicious! They were the best pancakes I have ever ate!!! Junior's is actually very famous for their New York Cheesecake, but we didn't try it yet, because we didn't have much time after we found out that they have the best cheesecake, so next time will we definitely go there and have to try it.

I hope you like this review and have a great day guys!

NEW YORK TRIP - WHAT TO DO

Hi guys, I know it's too late to wish you a happy new year, but better late than never, right?! I hope you are doing great in this new year. 2016 was the best year to me but on the other side also something bad happened to me. So, I hope everything will be great in 2017. Ok, now I want to tell you about my last holiday. Right after Christmas my husband and I traveled to New York. It was our second trip to this beautiful city. We spent New Year's Eve in New York and it was really special. We had really a great time in this city as always. I'll share with you what we did, where we ate and last but not least where to shop (this is my fav part, haha...) in New York. So, let us begin with 10 must visit places in New York during the day and at night:

1. CENTRAL PARK

There are many things you can do while you visit NY. One of the must do is visiting the Central Park. I love Central Park, it's a huge park with an amazing view. If you're a fan of Home Alone movie then you'll probably recognise few spots from this movie. We went there on January 1st after we had a long night New Year's Eve party. When I arrived in NY, I was just dreaming to take a Sunday walk at Central Park and I just did it. Luckily we had the most amazing wheather that day, sun was shining the whole day. It was just a special moment to start the new year.

2. FLATIRON BUILDING

It was my first time to see the flatiron building. On our first trip we didn't have much time like this time, so we couldn't visit all the sights. Look how incredible this building is. I could stare at it for hours, because it just amazes me.

3. Brooklyn Bridge

This time we didn't make it to walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, because most of the time was so cold and windy or rainy in New York. So we decided not to go there, we just saw the bridge from far. If you're visiting New York, then go to the Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge is beautiful and the view from the bridge is just amazing.

4. Wall Street

At Wall Street you can just walk around the area and enjoy the scenery. Last time we went there it was pouring rain, so we stopped just to take a picture. On our first trip we were walking aroung and then went to a church nearby to warm us up, haha...

5. One World Trade Center

In memorial of the Twin Towers, they build the One World Trade Center. If you go there, you can also see the spots where the Twin Towers were standing. Two pools were built in memory of 9/11 with the list of the victims names arround the pools. Last time I was there, it made me just sad if I was thinking what happened years ago. There is a 9/11 Memorial Museum which you can visit as well. We didn't do it because of the long queue.

6. The High Line

Honestly I've never heard about the High Line before I went there, haha... Shame on me!!! The High Line is a 2 km long park built in Manhattan and it used to be a railroad. When we got there, it was so windy and cold, so not fun at all. But I can imagine to sit and enjoy the view during warm weather.

7. Skyline Views at Night

If you want to enjoy the view of the skylines at night, then you have to go to Brooklyn. The view is just amazing from Brooklyn.

8. Broadway Shows

If you love musical, then Broadway is one must visit place on earth! We went to "Color Purple" and it was wonderful. I felt like I was in the middle of the making of a Hollywood film, haha... I know it sounds weird, but that's what I felt. The actors are AMAZING!!! This show was the second musical I have attended, the first one was in London and it was also great. HINT: To get cheaper tickets for Broadway, you have to go to TKTS ticket booth. We bought ours at TKTS and we got 50% off!!! Isn't that amazing?

9. Rockefeller Center

I love New York around Christmas time. Eventhough we were there after Christmas, we could still enjoy the Christmas decoration. My dream came true, all that I wanted was to be in New York at Christmas time and it was magical. Rockerfeller Center is definitely the most wonderful decorated place in New York. The giant Christmas tree stood right in front of the building and in the opposite building there was a beautiful light shows. It's just dreamy in New York during Christmas time.

10. Times Square

Last but not least you have to go to Times Square. It feels not complete without visiting Times Square while you're in New York. That's how I felt when we went to Times Square after a couple days of our arrival. I was just standing there and watching the big screens, it's so fun! A little HINT for the shoppers!!! The FOREVER 21 store at Times Square opens until 2 AM! Yes, correct, until 2 AM! So if you're in the city that never sleeps you can also go shopping until morning, isn't that great?! ;)

I hope you enjoy this post. If I could, I would go every year to New York. Next time we would like to go there in warm season, so we could sit outside such as at Central Park or Bryant Park and enjoy the sun. Wish you all a wonderful day!

Rice Terraces in Jatiluwih, Bali

FOREVER21 - Romper
ZARA - Bag

At the end of September I flew to my hometown to see my family and to celebrate our wedding with my entire family, friends and relatives. If you follow me then you probably know that we married in June and celebrated it here with my husband's family and our friends. I was so happy that my parents could come to Germany and have attended our wedding. So, at my hometown, Malang, we had our traditional wedding, the Javanese wedding to be exactly, because I am a Javanese. After we had our celebration, we flew to Bali with my parents-in-law. Mostly we just stayed at the hotel and went to the beach nearby. We had one day trip to Jatiluwih and Bedugul. It was amazing!!! Today I'm telling you about Jatiluwih, the most beautiful rice terraces in Bali.

Jatiluwih is a must visit on your list during your stay in Bali. It's a village with famous terraced rice paddies nestled in the shadow of Mount Batukaru and located north of the city Tabanan, in Bali’s western region. If you stay in Kuta or nearby, you can reach Jatiluwih by car in about an hour driving. Before entering the rice field area you have to pay a fee and then you can take a walk among the rice terraces which is amazing. There is a tracking route which you can follow or you can just take a short walk and enjoy the beautiful view. I've been there twice now and everytime I get there, I've got mesmerized by the beauty of Jatiluwih. From now on I decided to go there everytime I am in Bali.

Home Decor: How to style a window sill in a bathroom

If it comes to decoration, I'm so excited. I love to decorate as much as I love fashion. This time I wanna show you how to style a window sill in a bathroom. It wasn't easy to redecorate the window sill. At the first time I just put orchids and another plan on it. Someday I just got enough of them, haha... I felt like I just wanted something different & refreshing. Then I've searched for some inspirations in the internet. I found a decoration tip with a candle &  a glass cover. I think the idea with the candle & glass cover is really good & I've realized it. So, here is the result as you can see on the pics. If you have old magazines with pretty covers, don't throw them away. You can use them as decoration, not only for a window sill, it would look great for your coffee table or for a side table. I think it's a cheaper way to style using old magazines than coffee table books, they're pretty pricey. Besides magazines I use different candles, which are a must. I go with a scented candle from Park which smells amazing and some candles from Ikea. To make the scented last longer I cover it with glass cover I got from Butlers. It looks pretty, isn't? Last but not least I put a vase which has a cute form just like that without any flowers in it. To give a little bit maritim look which is great for summer, I put a sea shell & star fish, I got them from a souvenir shop in Key West. I'm very happy with the result. What do you guys think about my decor? Do you like it?

Travel Diary: Provence & Cote d'Azur (Part 2)

Today comes the second part of my travel diary of South of France. For the first two nights we've stayed at a guest house near Avignon. For the rest of the days we've stayed in a summer cottage in Sanary-sur-Mer. The cottage was really beautiful. Sanary-sur-Mer is located directly at the Mediterranian sea, less than one hour drive from Marseilles. Unfortunately we didn't have time to visit Marseilles. We went to other cities nearby, such as Cassis, Aix-en-Provence, etc. I liked Cassis, a beautiful little port village. We went for a boat tour to see the three most beautiful bays. Afterwards we drove up to the hill to see the bays from above, what amazing views! On a day, when the weather wasn't that good, we drove through the Alps to the Verdon Gorge. All I can say is, it was a great trip, we had such a good time in South of France. Last but not least, the French cuisine is just awesome, so yummy.

I'm gonna fly to Indonesia on Monday to see my family and I am sooo excited!!! It might be, there's gonna be less posts then. But I promise, when I'm back in Germany, I'm gonna tell you about my travel diary in Indonesia. It's gonna be awesome, because my boyfriend and I are going to travel around Java. So, I hope you have a great weekend!
